Quarterback & Receiver Camp

9am-4pm - McMaster University
Quarterbacks will learn SST's 10 points of proper mechanics
for throwing the football including:
- Ball placement before you throw
- Proper grip when throwing
- How to use your wrist to add velocity and distance
to your throw
- Drills to overcome
throwing errors
- Drills and tips to
reinforce good throwing habits
Quarterbacks will learn
fundamentals such as:
- Quarterback/center exchange
- How to execute 3, 5 and 7 step drop
- Power footwork for sprint out action, scrambling
and throwing on the run
- Understanding and recognizing defensive
coverages
- Plus Classroom explanation
and demonstrations
Wide Receivers will learn fundamental
skills such as:
- Faster more efficient
route running
- Learn how to stem
defenders
- Learn effective
ball catching drills
- How to run routes vs. man and zone
- Drills that will
improve focus and catching the football in high traffic
areas
- Skills will be taught to develop
better "Run after
the Catch" and "Yards after contact"
- Plus classroom explanation and
demonstrations!

Stephan Ptaszek
WR Coach
Ptaszek takes over one of the country's most
successful university football programs and
will guide the Marauders in their quest for
continued excellence on the field, in the classroom
and in community service.
Ptaszek coached at Wilfrid Laurier for the past
three seasons, capturing a Vanier Cup in 2005.Ptaszek
also served as Co-offensive Coordinator at the
University of British Columbia, Receivers Coach
at Wilfrid Laurier University, Offensive Co-ordinator
at Southwood Secondary School (Cambridge, ON)
capturing a Waterloo County Title (1997-98),
and an Assistant Coach with Bob Stacey's Burlington
Nelson Lords (1995-96).
As a player, Ptaszek played in the Canadian
Football League (CFL) with the BC Lions, where
he was drafted in the First Round, Hamilton
Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts.
Stefan played University Football at Wilfrid
Laurier from 1990-1994 where he was a three-time
All-Canadian and a member of the Vanier Cup
Championship team in 1991. He was inducted into
the Golden Hawk Hall of Fame in 1999, and still
holds the Wilfrid Laurier record for Career
Yardage and Receptions.
Larry Jusdanis
QB Coach
- First Canadian quarterback to start in a CFL game in
the last 25 years
- First Canadian Quarterback to be invited to the
NFL Combine
- Received a full scholarship to the University
of Central Florida where he was coached by
Mike Krucyk ( back
up QB to Terry Bradshaw during the Steeler
Dynasty years)
- Attended Acadia University where Larry broke
numerous CIS and conference passing records.
- Larry played with Hamilton TigerCats, Montreal
Alouettes and Toronto Argonauts. During
his stint in the CFL
Larry played with Matt Dunnigan, Doug
Flutie, Anthony Calvillo and Tracey Ham. Larry
was coached by the likes
of John Jenkins, Mike Kerrigan and Danny
Macciocca.
- Larry has been
coaching QB’s for the last 7 years.
