The 1st ever Fit and Lean body fat competition is already 6 weeks in and it has been a very tight race so far, but one woman in particular is starting to pull away from the field. Rhonda Long who started at an already impressive 12.3% body fat percent, with 107lbs of lean muscle mass, is now at an unbelievable 8.9% body fat and 108lbs or lean muscle mass. Rhonda has achieved these results by showing up to class consistently and by following the SST nutrition and supplementation plan to perfection.

 


When and How

Was SST Created?

''When I was a youngster all I wanted to do was play professional football.

I would run around my own yard throwing and catching a football until my parents dragged me in at night. Even then, I still carried the pigskin around the house before bed.

One of the challenges I had was that I was overweight; the other, I had poor running-speed. The main thing I had going for myself was a will to succeed by overcoming any obstacle.

Unlike today, where the Internet offers an abundance of data on just about anything, it was difficult back then to find information regarding strength and speed training. I remember the first speed book I got my hands on and it described a new technique for developing speed called tow training. In other words, I tied myself to a car with a rope and I would try to run as fast as my buddy had that truck moving. Needless to say, a few flights through the air and multiple bumps and bruises told me tow training wasn't the way to go...''

Mark Bocek and the Adu Dhabi trials

Mark Bocek qualified for the Adu Dhabi World submission fighting championships as the North American qualifier.  He competed at the 170lb division, which is heavier than his normal competition weight of 155lbs.  In his first match he defeated UFC veteren Drew Fickett 8-0 in dominating fashion.  The second round however saw Mark get submitted via heel hook.  This competition brought together the best competitors from around the globe.  Mark is now preparing for future MMA competitions and hopefully a chance to fight in the octagon for the UFC.

World Indoor Lacrosse Championships

The Iroquois National Lacrosse Team had an outstanding week at the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  The team finished the round robin tournament undefeated and beat the USA in the Semi-finals.  Their quest for Gold however came up just short against a stacked Canadian squad.  The Nationals played a hard fought game, but lost 15-14 in overtime.  Congratulations to all of the players for their hard work and dedication.

Pro Football Camp Update

 Great 4th Practice! We had coaches Joe Paopao, Ray Mariuz, Roger Dunbrack, Karl Ortmanns, Mike Bartello, Pete Robson, Jesse Lumsden and Jordan Symonds. The hard work and positive attitudes that were present were impossible to overlook.

The offense went up against the defense in 20 minutes of a grueling pass skeleton, and although I might be slightly biased, I think the offense laid down a butt kicking!
Way To Go Guys!

Can't wait for the 5th and last practice to decide whether or not the 'O' or 'D' will come out on top!
